How to Use It for a Reading You Can Trust
1. Open the battery cover and slide in the two AAA batteries, matching the polarity marks. Snap the cover closed.
2. Short-press the power button. The screen comes on with a brief animation.
3. Insert a finger (index or middle) into the clip, nail-side up. Keep the hand still and warm. Wait five to ten seconds for the numbers to settle.
4. Read the SpO2 (oxygen percentage) and PR (pulse rate) on the screen. If a PI reading is shown, a higher number usually means a stronger signal.
5. Take the finger out and wait a moment. Repeat the reading two or three times over the next minute, and average the results. A few readings averaged is a more useful number than any single one.
6. The unit turns itself off after a few seconds. Store on the lanyard, on a hook, or back in the box.
