Tesla Model 3（18-23） — Factory Plug-and-Play Harness
No splicing. No cutting. Just unplug the factory connector and plug in the Velloraco T-harness.
- Step 1: Open the trunk. Locate the factory tail light connector panel.
- Step 2: Unplug the factory connector. Plug in the Velloraco harness between them.
- Step 3: Tuck the LED strip under the weather seal along the trunk opening.
- Step 4: Close the trunk. Test the auto-sensor. Done.
Tesla Model Y — 12V Cigarette Lighter Plug
No wiring. No harness. Just plug into the 12V socket inside your trunk.
- Step 1: Open the trunk. Locate the 12V cigarette lighter socket on the left side of the trunk.
- Step 2: Plug the Velloraco power cable directly into the socket. No wiring. No adapters.
- Step 3: Tuck the LED strip under the trunk weather seal. Follow the full contour.
- Step 4: Close the trunk. Auto-sensor triggers on open/close. Done.

I have a Model 3. How does the power connection work?
Simple and clean. The Model 3 version uses a dedicated plug-and-play T-harness that goes inline with your factory tail light connector. Zero cutting. Zero splicing. Zero trim removal. You unplug one connector, plug in our harness, and tuck the strip. That's it.
What about my Model Y? Is the install the same?
Different, but just as easy. The Model Y draws power from the 12V cigarette lighter socket inside your trunk. No wiring. No adapters. No messing with the taillight assembly. Plug it in, tuck the strip, and the auto-sensor does the rest. Open trunk = light on. Close trunk = light off.
Will this drain my car battery?
No. The light only draws power when the trunk is open. When the trunk closes, it shuts off completely. No parasitic drain. No leaving it on overnight by accident. You can park for a week and come back to a fully charged battery.
Does this work with both the 2020-2024 and the 2026 Juniper refresh?
Yes. The strip is designed to fit the full trunk seal contour of both the original and the Juniper refresh. No modifications needed for either.
Model 3 Highland (2024+) — Any fitment adjustments?
Model 3 Highland (2024+) Owners: The factory connector is identical and fully compatible. For a factory-style fit, a small section (about 2 inches) of the LED strip may need to be trimmed at the marked cut line. This adjustment is expected and will not affect functionality or warranty.
